Brunch Meeting with Mayor of Hebron 

EDI representatives will attend a breakfast meeting in Tel Aviv with Khaled Osaily, Mayor of Hebron, in early August.  The event, under the auspices of the Israeli-Palestinian Chamber of Commerce & Industry, will bring together members of Israel’s commercial sector with the Mayor to hear about economic developments in the Palestinian economy. 

Colorado Secretary of Commerce Hosted by EDI 

Colorado’s Secretary of Commerce, Dan Marostica, visited Israel in early July, a few days in advance of Colorado Governor Ritter’s visit to the country.  EDI arranged a day of meetings for the Secretary with representatives of Israel’s life science community.  Colorado has a very advanced medical device sector and the Secretary was interested in meeting with potential business partners in this sector in Israel.  EDI arranged the day of meetings and accompanied the Secretary to those meetings as well.   

Medical Device Sector Report Issued for Enterprise Ireland 

In its cooperation with Ireland’s Economic Development Authority, Enterprise Ireland (EI), EDI completed an in depth report on Israel’s medical device sector at the request of EI.  Enterprise Ireland works with Irish companies to develop trade opportunities worldwide, and EI uses EDI as its information source in Israel.  

EDI to Produce AMCHAM Israel’s CONNECT 2010 

For the 6^th straight year, EDI will be producing the annual magazine of the Israel-America Chamber of Commerce, CONNECT.  The volume will mark the 25^th anniversary of the US-Israel Free Trade Agreement, the first FTA signed by the US with any country.  The volume will be ready for distribution at the Chamber’s annual US meeting in Washington, DC in October.
