Doing Business in the Middle East Seminars March 2010
EDI Vice President Ben Dansker Addresses Businesspeople in Portland, Oregon
EDI, in an effort to reach out to US exporters who have not previously sought to access the Middle East market, recently conducted a series of seminars on the subject in different locations in the US. Seminars were held in Denver (Colorado), Portland (Oregon), New Orleans (Louisiana) and Jackson (Mississippi) for about 35-40 people at each location. Each event was sponsored by the local World Trade Center and the individual state’s Department of Commerce.
During the seminars, EDI President Sherwin Pomerantz and Vice President Ben Dansker presented an overview of market opportunities throughout the region with special emphasis on Israel, Turkey, Jordan, Egypt and the UAE. After the formal presentation in each city, EDI personnel conducted a lively Q&A session as well as one on one meetings with participating companies. This is part of EDI's long range development program, with similar seminars being planned in other welcoming cities throughout the balance of the year.
