Merage Fellows Event to Feature Saul Singer 

Saul Singer, co-author of the widely acclaimed volume “Start Up Nation” which tells the story of Israel’s technological achievements, will be the featured speaker at a meeting of the Merage Fellows in Tel Aviv on February 11^th.  Singer will make a presentation and then take questions from the group.  The event will close with a networking “speed dating” event.  EDI represents the interests of the Merage Foundation for US-Israel Trade in Israel. 

EDI to Sponsor Breakfast for Conference of Presidents 

During the annual meeting in Israel of the Conference of Presidents of Major Jewish Organizations on February 17^th, EDI will sponsor a breakfast meeting of the almost 100 representatives who will be in Jerusalem at that time.  The delegates, in addition to being the heads of their various organizations, are also highly placed US business people and EDI will provide them with an overview of the business climate in Israel.  

 Video Presentation Planned for Oklahoma Companies 

On February 23^rd, EDI will do a web based presentation on regional business opportunities to Oklahoma companies interested in the region.  This is a “first of its kind” program sponsored by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce, whose interests in the region are represented by EDI. 

Delaware Delegation Visited Israel in January 

Delaware Supreme Court Justice Jack Jacobs joined by President of the Delaware Bar Association Ben Strauss, and Jeffrey Bullock, Delaware’s Secretary of State, headed a delegation to Israel during the week of January 3^rd.  The group also included a number of Delaware companies who were in Israel to explore commercial relationships with local firms.  Joining them as well was Bob Dayton, head of the Delaware Bio Association along with senior academicians from both the University of Delaware and Delaware State University.  During the visit the delegation met with a number of local law firms to hear their issues and concerns related to corporate registration in the US.  Justice Jacobs also conducted a number of seminars for local lawyers and addressed a forum of Israeli judges.   EDI in its role as the local representative of the Delaware Department of State organized and administered the mission.  

Pennsylvania Company Meets Potential Israeli Associates 

Pool Pak Technologies Corporation of York, Pennsylvania was in Israel the week of January 3^rd to meet with potential local business partners.  The company is a leading manufacturer of indoor swimming pool dehumidification equipment.  Their products are designed to offer a complete dehumidification system designed expressly for the harsh indoor swimming pool environment.  EDI, in its role as representing the interests of the Pennsylvania Department of Community & Economic Development in the region, organized the visit, made the appointments and acompanied the representative during his stay in the country.
