"Beautiful Israel in the Park" Convention Center at Yarkon Park, Ganei Yehoshua Featured Speaker: Dr. John Golub
Director, Merage-Technion IEMBA Program
EDI, in its capacity as the Israel Liason Office for the Merage Foundation for US-Israel Trade, held a Merage Foundation Networking Event on Tuesday, July 13 at 18:30 at the "Beautiful Israel in the Park" Convention Center at Yarkon Park, Ganei Yehoshua.
The goal of the event was to facilitate focused networking meetings among the Fellows, enabling them to take advantage of connections with their peers. Accordingly, Fellows were divided into several clusters according to their sectoral interests and met each member of their respective clusters for approximately 5-6 minutes. Towards the end of the event, Fellows were able to engage in "freestyle" networking, meeting others from any of the clusters.
Overall, Fellows enjoyed the chance to explore business opportunities and to become better acquainted with each other.
The evening's guest speaker was Dr. John Golub, Director of the new Merage-Technion IEMBA Program, who discussed the new program.
Dr. Golub earned a Ph. D. in Physics at Harvard University in 1987. During his twenty-two years in the workforce, he has accumulated extensive experience in industry (Movaz, ECI, Bellcore), academic (Hebrew University, University of Marburg), legal (Corning, Agilent) and government (Council for Higher Education) settings. Most recently, Dr. Golub was entrusted by the Council for Higher Education with local leadership of an OECD project on management of institutions of higher learning and taught a graduate course on optical design at Ben Gurion University.
